WHAT IT COVERS
Consists of 26 alphabet wooden uppercase letters made up of 60 parts and 26 wooden lowercase letters made up of 56 parts.
ILLUSTRATED MANUAL
Illustrated booklets that teach the child about how letters are similar to the structural shapes they will find in nature and the world around them.
LETTER BUILDING ACTIVITIES
These encourage the child to place the wooden pieces on top of the letter guides to re-create the letters shown. When the child has built a letter, the instructor can explain how each of the lines support each other by creating a rigid structure.

THE STORY BEHIND ALPHA STRUCTURE
I come from a photography background and have always looked at typefaces more than just letters or words; they are little structures that we can manipulate. I came up with the concept for Alpha Structure in 2014 when I was developing my other passion in typography. Formative stages of art and innovative typeface designs originate from basic horizontal, vertical, diagonal and circular lines that evolve into intricate and complex pieces of work. Typeface design is made of these various forms, and it is the movement in these elements that express relational aesthetics in human, natural, and synthetic matter. I was creating fonts professionally and each time I created a new typeface, I had to change the structure of the alphabet. This made me realize that when you break down everything around you, the structure of all that surrounds us comes down to singular lines or curves. This motivated me to break down the structure of the alphabet itself - which is the formula behind this educational tool. Shapes and forms are the foundation of any design.
